I spent my Friday reading more on  higher state of consciousness and discussing with a lovely friend about various aspects of the same - what not we discussed... from ancient times, to present, to traps and the actual practices, and where all one can make mistakes, and how to be back on the path. Came across this wonderful article by Sri Sri Ravishankar, and felt like sharing a few important points from the same here: The higher state of consciousness is somewhere in between the waking, sleeping and dreaming states. The more sattva/purity rises in your life, the more easily your tasks get accomplished.  The amount of sattva/ purity in us decides the productivity of our input.  If you put in a lot of effort and the result turns out to be less or below your expectations, it means that there is a lack of sattva/ purity in life.  When we meditate, then our work happens easily. People are unaware of this secret. It is very important to meditate whenever we get time, so that you accomplish your tasks more efficiently and with ease. -Sri Sri
